Patient Care

Dedicated to preserving and improving life for patients with heart disease, the cardiac surgery experts at Ohio State’s Heart Center have pioneered the development of many cardiac procedures used today. Offering a comprehensive program of surgical solutions for heart disorders, Ohio State is recognized as an international leader in the use of minimally invasive procedures that often provide smaller incisions, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery.

The Medical Center cares for a variety of complex cardiothoracic cases, including coronary artery revascularizations, surgical treatment of cardiac valvular diseases, diseases of the great vessels including new endovascular stenting techniques, surgery for cardiac arrhythmias, and cardiac transplantation. Our adult cardiac surgery program at the Ross Heart Hospital is a recognized authority in heart failure surgery, including ventricular restoration procedures and mechanical circulatory support. Click here for Maps and Directions
