According to the American Heart Association, Atrial Fibrillation (AF or A-fib) is the most common of all heart rhythm disorders, affecting more than 2.2 million Americans.
5   The Rotterdam study found that 22% of women and 24% of men will develop atrial fibrillation in their lifetime. 6   Atrial fibrillation is a serious health condition which requires immediate medical attention.  AF can double the risk of death and increases the risk of stroke by five to seven times as compared to someone without AF.5  By learning more about AF and the treatment options available, you can successfully reduce your risk of complications.
