Application Requirements

Length of Training Program
6 years: 5 years of clinical training and 1 year of research

All applications are accepted through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) . Applicants are selected for interviews based on the following documents.

  1. ERAS Common Application Form
  2. Personal statement
  3. Dean’s letter
  4. 3 letters of recommendation
  5. Medical school transcript
  6. Transcript of USMLE Step 1 and/or Step 2 scores
    (We require that D.O. students have taken the USMLE Step 1 to be eligible to apply.)
    (We do not use a set cutoff for offering applications.)

Interviews are offered as soon as an application is complete, so it is important to make sure all portions of your application are submitted as soon as possible. (We are aware the Dean's Letters come out after our application deadline, so although these are an important part of your application, they will not hold-up review of your application.) Available interview spots are limited and fill up quickly. Once all dates have filled, we will put you on a waiting list for your desired interview day and will contact you if an opening becomes available.

Interviews will be scheduled Thursday November 17, 2016, Thursday, December 15, 2016, Saturday, January 14, 2017, and Thursday, February 2, 2017.

*Additional requirements for an International Medical Graduate (including Carribean schools but excluding those trained in Canada)

  1. Be eligible for ECFMG certification
  2. Have spent at least one year (12 full months) in the U.S. in an accredited clinical training program after medical school. (Research positions and observatories are not sufficient.)
  3. Hold a J-1 visa

    *Applications from international medical graduates are welcome.
