Biographical

I am a U.S. American Board of Surgery (ABS) certified general surgeon with specialized training in cancer treatment. I completed a Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) approved surgical oncology fellowship at The Ohio State University Medical Center (OSUMC)/Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital in 2010. The advanced surgical oncology training with exposure to complex clinical oncologic problems, as well as associated research was of tremendous importance to my career growth. The opportunities and resources available at the OSUMC/Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital led me to accept a faculty appointment within the division of surgical oncology and have since embarked on my career. Currently, I am an assistant professor of surgery with interest in trainee education as well as clinical/research aspirations related to gastrointestinal malignancies.

I strive to deliver the highest quality cancer care to patients with gastrointestinal malignancies.

At the same time, aspirations towards improving surgical education of medical students, residents, fellows, as well as faculty development in education remain a priority in my personal academic mission.

From a research standpoint, I have interests in gastrointestinal and peritoneal surface malignancies of various pathologies with continued goals to improve the clincal management of these patients.
