Transplant Patients To Hold ReunionMore than 400 organ transplant patients and their families will gather for a reunion on Sunday at the Columbus Park of Roses. The patients and their families will enjoy food, games and a chance to renew acquaintances with medical staff and other transplant patients.
The summer reunion, a first for Ohio State University Medical Center’s transplant patients, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Rose Garden shelter house. Reporters are welcome to attend and speak with patients, their families and medical staff. OSU Medical Center, with the area’s only adult transplant center, has been performing transplants since the mid-60s and has one of the country’s largest transplant programs.
